About Role
Tesla is looking to hire a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead a development team focused on structural joining and sealing processes for our cutting-edge battery products. This position will drive technological advancement in this area while growing a small, specialized team.
1- Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Joining Lead

Job Responsibilities
A- Evaluate candidate structural joining and sealing strategies for new battery products.
B- Perform proof-of-concept to green light new and novel methods, technologies, and suppliers.
C- Guide cross-functional selection of optimal joining/sealing strategy and interface definition for new products.
D- Rigorous process and equipment development to achieve manufacturing capability, performance, and quality targets.
E- Process optimization and validation of each application through initial builds, with blueprint for release to production.
F- Establish standards and support downstream implementations.
Job Requirement
A- BS, MS, and/or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or equivalent experience.
B- Relevant experience in joining and sealing discipline covering at least one listed technology.
C- Demonstrated effectiveness in leading and/or mentoring personnel (informal required; formal preferred).
D- Experience with new product launches and equipment validations.
E- Support of large manufacturing lines implementation and ramp.
F- 7+ years of engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
G– Capability and willingness to travel domestically and abroad.
