About Role
Sanctuary is seeking a Manager of Residential Services to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Safety Department within our transitional domestic violence shelter in the Bronx. In this role, you will manage the safety department (residential aids); ensuring clients, staff and visitors are living and working in a safe and secure environment. You will oversee shelter community events and address any client concerns. In this position, you are also part of the leadership team at the shelter and will be involved in creating and implement agency policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
A- Ensure the shelter complies with mandates, agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
B- Manage recruiting, training, evaluation and development of residential aids.
C- Refers clients to appropriate legal and social services within and outside of Sanctuary for Families and the BXFJC.
D- Directly supervise the Residential Aid Supervisor, Senior Residential Aid, full time and on call residential aids at the shelter.
E- Assume on-call responsibilities as needed.
Job Requirements
A- A bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience..
B- At least three years relevant experience, two of which have been in a supervisory capacity.
C– Excellent communication skills. The ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
D- Functioning knowledge of shelter operations, security and/or law enforcement..
