About Role
As the Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be responsible for performing and assisting the necessary support work related to the health care of the cats and dogs under direct supervision.

Job Responsibilities
A- Knowledge of and compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and all procedures and protocols in the Nestlé Purina R&D Petcare Manual.
B- Perform daily rounds & treatments and report to the veterinarians sick or unusual behavior.
C- Observe animals during treatment; monitor & report progress to vets.
D- Record animal medical/clinical data as outlined in protocol; enter health into pertinent database.
Job Requirements
A- Minimum 1 year experience working with animals in a clinical setting.
B- Advanced training or experience in animal science, veterinary technology, or animal handling, grooming, or behavior is preferred.
C- Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred.
D- Licensed Veterinary Technologist in the State of Missouri is preferred.
